APC Refund Policy

Social Science Chronicle is committed to ensure smooth and efficient processing of manuscripts with utmost care.

In order to cover the costs incurred in handling of manuscript/s, it becomes pertinent to impose Article Processing Charges (APC). However, there are certain situations in which refund of the APC may be warranted. The journal’s policy for refund of APC, stands as follows :

Refund of APC will be issued within 14 days only under the following circumstances :

• If an error occurs on the publisher’s part, resulting in failure to publish the manuscript.
• If multiple payments are inadvertently received against the APC of a single manuscript.

However, no refund will be processed if:

• The author chooses to withdraw the manuscript after payment of APC.
• The manuscript is retracted due to claims of plagiarism or copyright infringement.
